President's Message

That “A-ha” Moment Taimour Zaman - President of the Access Group

Years ago, I was invited by Rick Wolfe to attend something called a "kitchen table” conversation.  I had just been downsized at a small company called Bell Canada, and was open to new ideas and career directions.

At this open forum, I was blown away when I heard a CEO speak candidly of how he had discovered that the purpose of his life, business and career was centred around his contribution to humanity. Something resonated deeply with me:  The idea of tackling issues that impact humanity by enabling prosperity in the world.

Shortly thereafter, I joined Rick in creating kitchen table conversations, and have never looked back. I'm thrilled that many of our participants have told me that our conversations have sparked similar business and personal epiphanies - inspiring change within their companies, their industries and their lives.

At first glance, it may appear that we are holding networking, knowledge-building summits, plain and simple. We are... in part.  But the intent of our summits is more profound than that: We're creating a space for compelling and effective community dialogues that allow companies to innovate the way they serve their customers and compete more meaningfully on the global stage - and even to make a difference to the planet.

On behalf of Access Group, we very much hope you'll join the dialogue soon!
Sincerely,

Taimour Zaman

indeed, it's the only thing that ever has."
